Local real estate agents are calling on the community to share the gift of giving.

Ray White in Preston & Reservoir have partnered with the Salvation Army Preston Corps to support disadvantaged children through the donation of gifts.

“This is the second year that we’ve run A Little Ray of Giving and we want 2016 to be our biggest year yet,” principal John Catanzariti said.

Those who wish to donate can bring wrapped gifts into either branch and inform the team member if the gift is for a boy or girl and what age group it is suitable for.

Both offices are now collecting gifts.

“When you see our Christmas tree go up, we urge everyone to bring in a gift for families who are less fortunate,” Mr Catanzariti said.

“It’s a really simple way to put a smile on the face of a young child, ” he said.

Last year more than 300 offices across Australia and New Zealand helped collect 30,000 gifts for disadvantaged families.
